With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houston takes one on the button.
Nice defenses there by Houston.
Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Houston sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Anderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Anderson fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Anderson as Houston shoots in.
Anderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Houston. Houston circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Anderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Houston is just out of range.
Anderson thuds his right hand into Houston's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

We've been informed that Anderson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Houston uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anderson.
Houston closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Houston pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Alex Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Houston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Anderson lands with a big left! Houston is wobbled badly! Anderson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Houston to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
