Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cage McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Addresses by:T.I.. Jake Blade told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blade tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McCoy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blade scores with a jab. McCoy acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Blade. That snapped McCoy's head back.
Good leg kick by McCoy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Blade lands a leg kick that knocks McCoy off balance momentarily.
Nice sprawl there from Blade as McCoy shoots in.
Blade scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Blade smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A solid leg kick lands there for Blade.
Blade fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Blade backs away, McCoy returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCoy tries to score with a low kick but Blade moves his leg out of the way.
A little jabbing left from Blade on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
McCoy fails with a takedown attempt.
Jake Blade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blade lands a nice looking body shot.
Blade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McCoy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cage McCoy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blade scores with a kick to the body.
Blade cracks the inside of McCoy's front leg.
Blade throws a series of strikes that have McCoy backpedaling.
Blade cracks a nice hook into McCoy's ribs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCoy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blade walks away with a smile on his face. McCoy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Blade connects with the punch.
Blade throws a good cross that connects.
Decent striking displayed by Blade there.
Blade moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
McCoy shoots in but Blade avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Blade looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Blade has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blade throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Blade effectively controlling the action here.

Blade is pressed up against the cage. McCoy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blade down to the mat. Blade avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Blade lunges at McCoy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McCoy's hand.
Blade lands with a right hand.

McCoy takes a jab right on the kisser.
Blade connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Blade connects with a leg kick. McCoy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Blade looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A head kick misses from McCoy.
Blade paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Blade stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blade wants it to stay on the feet.

McCoy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Blade drives through and clinches with McCoy against the cage.
McCoy fails to pull guard.
Blade lands a body punch in the clinch.
Our sources have told us that McCoy has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Blade lands a right hand.
Blade lands an uppercut.
Blade cracks McCoy with a nice body shot.
Blade lands a hook to the side of the head.
McCoy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Blade to keep the fight standing.
Blade throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McCoys head.
McCoy is rocked!
Blade has McCoy pressed against the cage. He pushes McCoy back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Blade throws a beautiful elbow that sends McCoy crashing to the floor! Blade piles on the pressure with more strikes! McCoy is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Blade!
Jake Blade seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Cage McCoy was interviewed post fight and said 'It's how you bounce back! I'll be back!!'.
