Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luis Cardoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardoza comes to the cage accompanied by Holy See. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoza slips a jab from Acosta.
Cardoza is looking to clinch.
Acosta throws a shot to the body.
Luis Cardoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Acosta lands with a nice body punch.
Cardoza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Acosta tries to avoid it but Cardoza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Acosta to the ground. Acosta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cardoza tries to close the distance and clinch up but Acosta swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cardoza takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Luis Cardoza has been cut.
Acosta misses with a right hand

and Cardoza counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Acosta!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Acosta is looking for a sweep. Cardoza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Acosta wants to get back to his feet.
Cardoza is trying to control. Acosta wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Acosta tries to get to full guard but Cardoza has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acosta looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Acosta is trying to stand up here but Cardoza is controlling him well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Acosta has cracked Cardoza with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Acosta lands another huge swinging hook and Cardoza tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Cardoza, before Acosta can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Thiago Acosta!
Thiago Acosta decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Luis Cardoza stepped up to the mic, saying 'I was robbed god damn it.....Jesus christ, this place is hell !!!'.
