Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyrus Loman!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loman shoots in and bounces Barker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barker wants to sweep here but Loman controlling him for the moment.
Loman sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Barker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Loman is one step ahead there.
Barker keeping moving, preventing Loman from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barker looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Loman passes into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barker is working to avoid the ground and pound but Loman connects with a decent elbow.

Loman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Loman tries for a kimura but Barker is defending well.
Barker tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Loman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Loman passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Barker!

Loman goes for an armbar but Barker turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Barker.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Loman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barker is aware though and is defending well.
Loman trying to keep a closed guard but Barker is proving a slippery customer.
Loman controlling the position.
Loman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Barker postures up.
Barker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Barker wants to control from the top but Loman keeps moving.
Loman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barker manages to get himself to full guard.

Loman wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving.

Barker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Loman controls the pace.
Barker keeping moving, preventing Loman from controlling successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Loman landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Loman wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Loman darts in and clinches Barker up against the cage.
Barker is looking to control Loman's arms but Loman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Barker has his back to the cage.
Barker trying to stall but Loman improves his position.
Barker struggles to land a body shot inside as Loman controls his hands.
Barker misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Loman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Barker is trying to escape back to his feet but Loman uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyrus Loman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Loman has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barker taking shots to the head.

Loman has control of Barker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Barker regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Barker is desperately trying to improve his position but Loman has a good base and remains in mount.
Loman with the ground and pound from mount.
Barker is squirming around, avoiding Loman's attempts to control the action.
Loman controlling his opponent.
Let's hope that Loman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Loman looking to control but Barker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Loman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Barker manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Loman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Loman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Barker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Loman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Loman is looking to take a break and control but Barker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Barker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loman on the ground.
Barker is looking for a sweep.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Loman is working Barker over with some ground and pound from side control.

Loman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Loman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Barker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Loman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Barker is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Loman off and has taken his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrus Loman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Loman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Barker tries to bench press Loman off him but Loman keeps the position.
Barker is working to avoid the ground and pound but Loman connects with a decent elbow.
Loman trying to control the position but Barker is working away.
Barker being controlled for a moment.
Loman grinds an elbow into Barker's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loman cracks Barker with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Loman advances nicely into full mount.

Loman landing shots from mount.
Loman lands a big shot to the head and Barker winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
