The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Romero quickly recovers to half guard.
Adams is pressing down on Romero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Romero is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Romero is just riding it out for now. Adams eventually gives up the hold.

Adams has control of Romero's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Romero regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Romero is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Adams locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Romero is forced to tap!
