PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Hoss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kyle jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoss closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming jensen to the mat! jensen manages to get full guard.
Hoss trying to control the position from guard on top but jensen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
jensen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hoss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

jensen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
jensen looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hoss digs a good body shot into jensen's ribs.

Hoss drives through and clinches with jensen against the cage.

Hoss has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics jensen uses from the top position.
Hoss controls jensen momentarily but jensen frees himself.
Hoss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hoss trying to control the action but jensen is working from the bottom.

Hoss is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so jensen is just riding it out for now. Hoss eventually gives up the hold.

Hoss is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for jensen!

jensen tries to hold on but Hoss pushes him away.
Hoss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
jensen is looking to get to half guard.
Hoss can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as jensen is looking to escape.
Hoss scoring with strikes but jensen is staying in there.
jensen is squirming around, avoiding Hoss's attempts to control the action.
Hoss is really struggling to control jensen but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hoss cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hoss tries to control but jensen wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoss tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
jensen is trying to maintain the position but Hoss is very close to passing his half guard.
Hoss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but jensen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. jensen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

jensen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoss doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoss manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
