The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura dives in and grabs Akcay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Akcay pushes down on Moura's head and hops out.
Moura looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Moura dodges the punch combination from Akcay.
Moura is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Akcay moves into the clinch.
Akcay throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Akcay successfully pulls guard.
Akcay lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Akcay is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akcay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Akcay controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Moura has a closed guard, preventing Akcay from standing up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Akcay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Akcay is working to tighten his grip on Moura's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Moura has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Akcay is really squeezing tight and eventually Moura passes out! Akcay breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
