Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Kyznetsov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yip Man!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Man duly obliges.
Kyznetsov walks into a stiff left hand from Man.
An inside leg kick lands from Man.
Kyznetsov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Man defends it nicely.
A jab from Man does it's job there.
Man thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kyznetsov if he has to take too many more of those.
Danga de danga de dang - Man scores with a four punch combination!
Man throws a right hand that Kyznetsov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kyznetsov also avoids with ease.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kyznetsov looks for a takedown but Man sprawls well.
Kyznetsov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Man pinned against the cage. Man gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Man fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Man falls off balance throwing a combination

and Kyznetsov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kyznetsov.
Man wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Man scores with a nice body kick.
A left and a right from Man both land. Nice combination.
Man throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kyznetsov.

Man fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Man goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Man has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Man lands with a kick to the temple. Kyznetsov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Man misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kyznetsov.
Man throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kyznetsov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Man wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Man stalks Kyznetsov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kyznetsov's face. Kyznetsov staggers backwards, shaken.
Kyznetsov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Man lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Man misses with a few strikes there.

Man throws a leg kick which misses Kyznetsov's front leg but catches the back leg as Kyznetsov tries to avoid it.
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kyznetsov.
Man lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Man goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Man throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Man throws a combination that misses

and Kyznetsov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Man won't be happy with that.

Kyznetsov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.

Kyznetsov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kyznetsov trying to control the position but Man is working away.
Kyznetsov throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Man is being controlled here.

Man throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Man throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice body kick there by Man.
Man throws a right hand that Kyznetsov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kyznetsov also avoids with ease.
Kyznetsov feinted with a counter takedown.
Yip Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kyznetsov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Man looks winded!
Man throws a hook to the side of Kyznetsov's head but Kyznetsov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yip Man dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kyznetsov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Man connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kyznetsov scrambles back to his feet.

Kyznetsov tries to counter with a takedown but Man is quick to defend against it.
Man scores with a head kick.
Kyznetsov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Man.
Man misses with a series of wild punches.
Man misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man looks to land a combination but Kyznetsov avoids it well.
Kyznetsov is looking to counter the offense by Man and move into the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man wants to get back to his feet.
Kyznetsov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Man is refusing to be controlled, as Kyznetsov sits in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Man keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kyznetsov is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kyznetsov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard.

Man is looking to escape.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kyznetsov in particular looking to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kyznetsov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Man did well to prevent Kyznetsov getting side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Man scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kyznetsov is looking to counter the offense by Man and move into the clinch.
Yip Man seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Man misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Man stuffs the takedown.
Man tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Kyznetsov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Man gets caught napping as Kyznetsov dives in and scores a takedown. Man manages to retain guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kyznetsov postures up in Man's guard and throws a big left but Man blocks it.
Yuri Kyznetsov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kyznetsov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kyznetsov is trying to work for a kimura but Man is defending well.
Still in half guard, Kyznetsov seems content to control.
Kyznetsov not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Man throws a nice inside leg kick.
Man misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kyznetsov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Man lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Man misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kyznetsov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Man throws a hook but Kyznetsov avoids it easily.

Kyznetsov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Man lands a head kick. Kyznetsov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kyznetsov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Man thuds his shin into the meat of Kyznetsov's side.
Kyznetsov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kyznetsov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Man pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kyznetsov back to the cage. Man follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Yip Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kyznetsov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Man defends well and Kyznetsov ends up having to push Man into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Man sneaks out the side door and pushes Kyznetsov away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Yip Man is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Man lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kyznetsov circles away quickly and effectively.
Kyznetsov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Yip Man comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Man winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
