Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ashton Eaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eaton comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Berzerk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry scores with a jab. Eaton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A left lands for Eaton.

Perry rushes Eaton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Perry misses with the head strike.
Eaton lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Perry missing with knees to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Eaton - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Still in the clinch, Eaton scores with a nice short uppercut.
Eaton lands a shoulder strike.
The referee calls for Eaton to work.
Perry wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Eaton has him pressed against the cage.

Eaton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Perry can't fight it off and eventually Eaton manages to take the fight to the floor. Perry looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Perry is looking to stand back up but Eaton counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Perry.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Perry misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Eaton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Eaton connects with a nice short shot to Perry's temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Eaton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Perry wants to control but Eaton is keeping busy.

Eaton in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Perry tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Eaton!
