Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Del Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Rio has chosen Requiem for a dream as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alberto Del Rio is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alberto Del Rio!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Del Rio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
William Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace darts in looking for a takedown but Del Rio gets double underhooks and turns Wallace into the cage.
Del Rio moves out of range of the leg kick from Wallace.
Wallace darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Alberto Del Rio has been cut.
Del Rio misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wallace.
Del Rio blocks a jab.
Del Rio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wallace throws a big shot that misses.
Wallace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Wallace clinches up with Del Rio and pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Del Rio has Wallace pressed against the cage.
Wallace tries to throw a body punch but Del Rio avoids it by throwing Wallace back against the cage.
Wallace wants to take the fight to the mat but Del Rio manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Del Rio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wallace paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Del Rio enables Wallace to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Del Rio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Del Rio is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wallace dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Del Rio pushes Wallace away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wallace gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Wallace swings around for an armbar but Del Rio sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wallace's guard.
Del Rio wants to stand but Wallace has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Wallace looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wallace has his foot on Del Rio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Del Rio works his way back into a safe position though.
Wallace is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Wallace is looking to cinch up a triangle. Del Rio throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wallace's body to avoid the submission. Wallace has instead reached around Del Rio's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wallace arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
