The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NOG misses with a few strikes there.
NOG shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Big NOG seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
NOG shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.
NOG fails to land the takedown.
Marcus Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big NOG.
NOG fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming NOG to the mat! NOG manages to get full guard.

NOG working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
NOG is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

NOG keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

NOG misses with a takedown

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, NOG has managed to free his arm - good work.
NOG should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
NOG works his way to full guard. Good work.

NOG looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.
NOG is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

NOG has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.
Jackson stays in close to NOG's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. NOG swivels though and keeps the full guard.

NOG looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jackson has picked NOG up and slammed him! NOG can't keep hold of the triangle and Jackson manages to pass to side control!

Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. NOG knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

NOG had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. NOG Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead.
