The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aldo has Lukyanov up against the cage in a clinch.
Lukyanov goes for a takedown attempt but Aldo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

It looks like Valery Lukyanov has been cut.
Lukyanov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Aldo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Aldo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lukyanov is defended easily by Aldo.
Aldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Aldo batters Lukyanov with a massive right followed by a huge left! Lukyanov is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Aldo lands a final crushing right hand to drop Lukyanov to the mat with a gruesome thud! Aldo is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Jose Aldo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
