Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toki Nho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Maqsood!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nho takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Maqsood throws a nice head kick!
Maqsood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maqsood wants to clinch up but Nho keeps it at a distance.
Maqsood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nho moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A quick step to the side and Nho tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nho blocks a head kick by Maqsood.
Nho circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maqsood throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nho was covering up waiting for the punch and Maqsood finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Nho pushes a forearm under Maqsood's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Maqsood is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
