The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valhall misses with a head kick.
Goldman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goldman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Valhall.
Nice uppercut there from Goldman.

It looks like Vale Valhall has been cut.
Goldman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Valhall as he avoids it easily.
Valhall throws a series of punches but Goldman avoids them all with ease.
Goldman throws the left hand but Valhall avoids the punch easily.
Valhall thows a body shot but no joy.
Valhall moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Valhall misses with a two punch combination.
Goldman throws an overhand right that lands on Valhall's shoulder, as Valhall tries to avoid the shot.

Goldman feints and as Valhall raises his hands in defense, Goldman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goldman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Valhall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Valhall is looking to stand up but Goldman isn't so interested in that idea.
Valhall trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Goldman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Valhall throws a front kick that sends Goldman stumbling back into the cage.

Valhall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Goldman needs to keep his hands up - Valhall had a free shot at his head there.
Valhall defending well as Goldman loads up on a big left hand.
Good leg kick by Valhall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Valhall misses with the combination.
Valhall scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Valhall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Goldman.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Valhall looks to throw the jab but Goldman is out of range.
Valhall throws a leg kick which misses Goldman's front leg but catches the back leg as Goldman tries to avoid it.
Valhall thuds his shin into the meat of Goldman's side.

Valhall throws a lazy right hand but Goldman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Valhall lands a with a good body shot.
Mort Goldman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valhall misses with a series of wild punches.
Valhall slips under a jab from Goldman.
Goldman fails to land the takedown.
Valhall looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Valhall knocks Goldman to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A slow jab from Valhall misses its intended target.

It looks like Mort Goldman has been cut.
Valhall throws a shot to the body.
Valhall throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Valhall bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Goldman's head backwards.
Valhall lands a high kick to the side of Goldman's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Valhall dives into guard, looking to finish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valhall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Valhall postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Valhall won't allow Goldman to sweep him here.
Goldman is breathing heavily.
Valhall is pushing down on Goldman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Goldman is fighting to maintain full guard but Valhall has managed to sneak the leg through.
Valhall not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Valhall content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valhall decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Valhall misses with a two punch combination.
Valhall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goldman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Valhall makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Goldman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Valhall.
Valhall throws a nice head kick!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goldman shoots in and drives through. Valhall sprawls well.
Valhall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Goldman can do to turn this around?
Valhall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Valhall jabs Goldman right on the nose. Goldman blinks but takes it well.

Goldman takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Goldman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Goldman is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vale Valhall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Goldman shoots and misses
and Valhall counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Valhall throws a leg kick which misses Goldman's front leg but catches the back leg as Goldman tries to avoid it.
Valhall connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valhall sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Goldman to the ground! Valhall dives into full mount looking to finish!
Goldman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Goldman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Goldman walks into a left hand.
Valhall works Goldman's body with a nice hook.
Goldman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Valhall ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and Valhall counters with a thumping low kick.
Donk. Valhall catches Goldman right on the button with a cross.
Valhall tries a head kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Valhall.

Goldman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Goldman there as he acknowledges the shot.
Valhall bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Goldman's head.
Valhall lands a brutal head kick. Goldman looks out on his feet and Valhall throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
