The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Diamond with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pyry Kontio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kontio misses with a takedown
and Diamond counters with a left to the body.
Kontio fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kontio looks for a takedown but Diamond sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pyry Kontio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diamond throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Diamond stuns Kontio with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Diamond lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Diamond scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Diamond counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kontio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kontio takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kontio definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kontio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diamond looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Diamond bucks up and tries to throw Kontio off but instead Kontio has got his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kontio has Diamond flattened out and is raining down punches.
Diamond has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kontio.

Kontio is looking for the choke from the back position but Diamond is controlling his hands well.
Diamond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kontio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
