Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Solid Capybara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Lowe!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capybara misses with a takedown
and Lowe makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Capybara gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lowe.
Donk. Lowe catches Capybara right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Solid Capybara has been cut.
Lowe sends Capybara crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lowe is motioning to the referee to let Capybara up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Capybara is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Capybara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lowe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Oh Capybara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Capybara shoots in for a takedown but Lowe shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Solid Capybara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lowe misses with a low kick as Capybara jumps back.
Lowe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Capybara seems to have got his legs back now.
Lowe drops Capybara with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Capybara looks back up at him and smiles so Lowe waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lowe ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Capybara's jaw. Capybara's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Lowe does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Lowe!
