Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raphael Arias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arias has chosen we will find a way as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harry Briggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raphael Arias!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arias throws a sloppy head kick and Briggs moves out of range easily.
Briggs throws a quick counter head kick but Arias was just out of range.

Briggs closes the distance and clinches.
Briggs stalling the fight.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Harry Briggs.
Arias throws a head kick but Briggs moves out of range.

Briggs rushes Arias and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Arias is trying to push Briggs away but Briggs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Briggs is fighting off a takedown attempt but Arias is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Briggs to the mat. Briggs regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Briggs is looking for a triangle but Arias pushes his legs off easily.

Briggs isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Arias stacks Briggs on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Arias!
Briggs manages to get back to half guard.

Arias wants to work for an arm triangle but Briggs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Arias is keen to just control but Briggs is a slippery customer.
The fighters are battling for position here. Briggs manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Briggs has his foot on Arias's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arias works his way back into a safe position though.

Briggs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Arias's guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Briggs.

That was a close round but I would say that Harry Briggs will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Horrible takedown attempt by Briggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Arias, which made it look bad.

Arias shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Arias showed some decent athleticism there.

Briggs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Arias pulls his head out easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Briggs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
