And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carl Woods!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loko throws a quick counter kick to the body but Woods avoids it.
Four Loko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Loko.

Woods misses with a hook. Loko ducked under it nicely.

Woods looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Woods looks to move away, Loko throws a big counter combo but Woods just gets out of the way.
Loko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Woods has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Loko pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woods gets to his feet. Loko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Woods counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Loko needs to keep his hands up - Woods had a free shot at his head there.
Loko lands a nice looking kick to the body. Woods takes a step back to recover.
Woods throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Woods checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Loko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Woods moves away.
Woods lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Loko backs up against the cage.
Woods lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Loko falls backwards - clearly groggy! Woods dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Woods!
Carl Woods decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Four Loko spoke after the fight, saying 'why am i kepp losing?'.
