The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dere drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dere looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Tomas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dere manages to get himself to full guard.

Tomas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dere really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tomas lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tomas working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dere's head.
Tomas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dere's head.
Tomas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dere is rocked!
Tomas loads up on a big left hand. Dere felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tomas looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dere can't hide his disappointment, as Tomas celebrates the victory.
