Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Stafford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Altin Ademaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Altin Ademaj will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Stafford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Altin Ademaj!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ademaj scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stafford pushes Ademaj away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ademaj gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Stafford might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ademaj wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stafford keeps working.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
You can see the frustration on Stafford's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stafford could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Stafford tries to escape but Ademaj is in control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ademaj throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stafford tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ademaj is in Stafford's guard.

Ademaj throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stafford works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ademaj sitting in guard, not really doing much.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Stafford shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Stafford thows a huge punch but Ademaj dodges it nicely.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Ademaj tries to roll over but Stafford keeps him under control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stafford seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ademaj for as long as he can get away with.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Altin Ademaj will probably get the nod.
That's time! Stafford's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Ademaj fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stafford to the ground. Ademaj is now in Stafford's guard.
Stafford is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ademaj is controlling him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stafford holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ademaj trying to control the position from guard on top but Stafford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ademaj is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Stafford tightens his grip and picks Ademaj up, before dumping him to the ground. Ademaj manages to land in guard.
Ademaj is trying to control the position but Stafford postures up.
Stafford slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stafford works over Ademaj with some ground and pound from guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stafford sitting in guard here, content to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ademaj looking for a guillotine here but Stafford defends easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stafford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ademaj clinches.

Stafford is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ademaj is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stafford to the mat. Stafford regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ademaj is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stafford has his hands on Ademaj's head, controlling the position.
Stafford looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Altin Ademaj showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Stafford feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Stafford drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ademaj wants to get back to his feet but Stafford passes into half guard.

Ademaj tries to kick Stafford off in order to stand up. Stafford Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Stafford throwing strikes but Ademaj manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Ademaj can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stafford controls the pace.

Ademaj takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ademaj pulls Stafford in to control the position.
Stafford postures up in Ademaj's guard and throws a big left but Ademaj blocks it.
Stafford is looking to work some ground and pound but Ademaj has wrist control.

Pedro Stafford has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Altin Ademaj is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stafford accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pedro Stafford showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ademaj has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
