The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lupee as he jumps to the side.

and Lupee counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lupee.
Lupee tries to land a knee to the head but Gallagher blocks with his arms.

Lupee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lupee takes the fight into the clinch.
Gallagher can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Gallagher. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lupee lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gallagher backwards.

It looks like Shane Gallagher has been cut.
Gallagher tries to pull guard but Lupee holds him up against the cage and eventually Gallagher drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gallagher is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lupee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Gallagher gets control of Lupee's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gallagher will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gallagher holds on and takes a little breather.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lupee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gallagher is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Lupee working some strikes from top position.

Gallagher is rocked!
Lupee stands up over Gallagher, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Oh Gallagher is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lupee arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Gallagher's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
