The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor throws a head kick that misses.
Lovejoy lands a head kick. McGregor smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Conor McGregor has been cut.
Lovejoy misses with a few strikes there.

Lovejoy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lovejoy jumps guard and drags McGregor to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGregor drops back looking for a leg! Lovejoy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lovejoy manages to kick McGregor off! McGregor jumps back into Lovejoy's guard.

Conor McGregor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lovejoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGregor is one step ahead there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
