Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Muniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sid Muniz!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bailey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Muniz's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

You get the feeling that Bailey really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Bailey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Muniz regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bailey.
Muniz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Bailey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bailey lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wilbur Bailey will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sid Muniz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bailey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
