The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosarev shoots in but Green avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kosarev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away.
Green slips under a jab.
Green fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ilia Kosarev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kosarev did well to prevent Green getting side control.

Green is working for a kimura but Kosarev is defending it quite comfortably.

Green is looking for a kimura but Kosarev is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Green to get the leverage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green is controlling the pace.

Kosarev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Green winds up and cracks Kosarev with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Green stands up and beckons Kosarev to join him on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kosarev throws a poor cross that misses

and Green counters by moving into the clinch.

Green gets control of Kosarev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Green will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Green is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kosarev defends well.

Green looking for a triangle here. Kosarev is fighting it but it looks tight! Green pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kosarev is tapping out - this one is all over!
