Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Kaukalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaukalo comes to the cage accompanied by Rancid - Indestructible. Pekka Kaukalo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaukalo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pekka Kaukalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigo looks to land a right hand but Kaukalo moved out of range.

It looked like Kaukalo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rodrigo.

Kaukalo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodrigo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kaukalo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rodrigo to score with a decent uppercut.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kaukalo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kaukalo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rodrigo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Rodrigo is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kaukalo with a body shot.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rodrigo! But no joy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rodrigo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kaukalo - the referee stops the clock and Rodrigo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kaukalo. Rodrigo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
