The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Stoole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

bain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

bain is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stoole is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stoole tries to get back to half guard but can't.

bain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no bain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

bain working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

bain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

bain is looking to take a break and control but Stoole is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stoole gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Stoole is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

bain looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Stoole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with bain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
bain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stoole is looking to escape.
Stoole slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

bain is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Stoole with him. Stoole is trying to defend but bain has an arm under the chin now! Stoole grimaces and is forced to tap out!
