Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shulun shoots in and gets a takedown into Ashkir's guard.
Ashkir has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Shulun stands up from Ashkir's guard - Shulun perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ashkir shoots for a double leg takedown but Shulun sprawls well. He's pushed Ashkir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shulun shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ashkir as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gulun Shulun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gulun Shulun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shulun or perhaps it was just good defense by Ashkir, which made it look bad.

and Ashkir comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Shulun stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Ashkir is on him like rabid pit bull! Shulun slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cabaas Ashkir!
Cabaas Ashkir decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
