PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Carrasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses. Carrasco is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hemhenti. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots for a takedown but Carrasco saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee misses with a wild combination.
Carrasco on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carrasco has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Carrasco wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but Carrasco persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carrasco trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carrasco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lee looking for a triangle here. Carrasco is fighting it but it looks tight! Lee pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Carrasco is tapping out - this one is all over!
