Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franco Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cage McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad Motherfucker. McCoy has chosen Addresses by:T.I. as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCoy was covering up waiting for the punch and Gomez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gomez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gomez trying to control the position from guard on top but McCoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gomez slips nicely into half guard.
Gomez tries to pass the half guard into mount. McCoy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
McCoy looks like he's trying to stand up.
McCoy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gomez is working away from the top position though.
Gomez is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCoy is defending against the submission attempts here by Gomez.
Gomez seems to be looking for submissions.

Gomez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McCoy is just riding it out for now. Gomez eventually gives up the hold.

Gomez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McCoy sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCoy looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gomez is looking to advance position but McCoy won't allow it.

Gomez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McCoy sees it coming and defends easily.
Gomez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

McCoy controls Gomez momentarily but Gomez frees himself.
Gomez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCoy's guard.
Gomez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McCoy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Gomez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McCoy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gomez has McCoy in his guard.

McCoy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McCoy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gomez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. McCoy is looking to defend but Gomez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for McCoy! Gomez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, McCoy taps out and this one is all over!

Franco Gomez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Cage McCoy stepped up to the mic, saying 'It's how you bounce back! I'll be back!!'.
