The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olevaro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Olevaro slips a jab and a cross from Smith.

Olevaro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
Olevaro throws a head kick that misses.
Olevaro lands a glancing blow to the side of Smith's head.
Olevaro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Olevaro tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olevaro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Olevaro throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Olevaro pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Olevaro sets himself, and Smith steps forward looking for the clinch! Olevaro avoids it this time.

Smith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Olevaro throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith with the counter takedown but Olevaro avoids it easily.
Maximo Olevaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Olevaro lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Olevaro scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
