Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Laterreur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laterreur misses with a series of wild punches.
Bobby Laterreur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laterreur clinches up with Carroll and pushes him back against the cage.
Laterreur escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carroll drives through and clinches with Laterreur against the cage.
Laterreur gets through Carroll's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Laterreur pulls Carroll into guard.
Laterreur throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Laterreur is on top in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Laterreur takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Carroll is squirming around, avoiding Laterreur's attempts to control the action.

Laterreur is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Carroll has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Carroll tries to lock up and control but Laterreur gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Laterreur sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Laterreur cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Carroll bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Laterreur is looking to get back to his feet here but Carroll is keeping cool and he's managed to take Laterreur's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carroll is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Carroll knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laterreur on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Laterreur clinches with his opponent.
Carroll has Laterreur pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Laterreur manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Carroll has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Laterreur after a bit of a struggle.

Laterreur manages to break the clinch.
Laterreur fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carroll avoids it really well and circles away.

and Carroll makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Laterreur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Laterreur wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carroll keeps working.
Carroll looking for a sweep but Laterreur has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Carroll tries to hold on but Laterreur postures up.
Laterreur wants to take Carroll's back here but Carroll is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bobby Laterreur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Carroll's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Carroll gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laterreur to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Laterreur sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carroll's guard.
Carroll really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Laterreur seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carroll does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laterreur is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Carroll reverses the position - he's now on top in Laterreur's guard.
Carroll is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Laterreur is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Laterreur has escaped and now he's on top!

Bobby Laterreur comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Laterreur has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
