Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayfield has a takedown stuffed.
Mayfield looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stick is fending him off so far but Mayfield persists. Nope, Stick circles away and we're back to standing.
Stick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mayfield moves away.
Mayfield shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stick as he avoids it easily.
Wooden Stick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morgan Mayfield.
Stick shoots in but no luck this time.
Mayfield throws a head kick that Stick semi-blocks.
Stick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stick advances nicely into full mount.
Stick jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mayfield manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stick wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mayfield, who protects the arm well.
Stick tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Stick controls the position from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stick is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mayfield is trying to escape and Stick transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mayfield is forced to tap! Nice work there by Stick! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wooden Stick!
