Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Bamusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Hiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiller has chosen Rush and Run - Shake and Jump as his entrance music. Augusto Bamusto has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Augusto Bamusto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Hiller!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bamusto shoots in looking for a takedown. Hiller tries to sprawl out of it but Bamusto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hiller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bamusto shoots for a double leg takedown but Hiller sprawls well. He's pushed Bamusto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hiller appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hiller connects with an inside leg kick.

Hiller has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hiller stalls.
Hiller lands a hook to the side of the head.
A right handed body shot lands from Hiller.
Hiller scores with a shot to the side of Bamusto's head.
Hiller lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bamusto tries to circle away but Hiller has him pinned against the cage.
Bamusto is looking for a takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hiller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bamustos head.
Bamusto has had enough of the clinch but Hiller keeps him there for the moment.

Bamusto wants to get back to striking at distance but Hiller won't allow it.

Hiller jumps guard and drags Bamusto to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bamusto wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hiller, who protects the arm well.
Hiller tries to bench press Bamusto off him but Bamusto keeps the position.

Bamusto is trying to get an arm triangle but Hiller is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hiller regains half guard.
Hiller wants to improve his position but Bamusto is controlling well.

Hiller flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Bamusto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hiller doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bamusto.

Bamusto slips a nice elbow through Hiller's hands, connecting with Hiller's forehead.

Bamusto seems to be working for a kimura but Hiller defends the submission attempt.
Bamusto works his way into full mount!

Hiller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bamusto lands a nice shot to the head.
Hiller wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bamusto.
Hiller sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Bamusto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hiller doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bamusto.

Hiller works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hiller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Bamusto postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hiller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bamusto, into his guard.

Bamusto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bamusto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hiller defends well.
Hiller scoring with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erik Hiller dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hiller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bamusto looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
No luck for Bamusto with that takedown attempt.
Hiller stuns Bamusto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bamusto misses with a looping right.
Augusto Bamusto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bamusto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Hiller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bamusto did well to prevent Hiller getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hiller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hiller not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Hiller throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bamusto to regain full guard.

Bamusto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Erik Hiller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Augusto Bamusto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hiller scores with a hook to the body. Bamusto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bamusto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hiller finds it's way round the side to connect with Bamusto's head.

Hiller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bamusto.

Hiller pushes Bamusto back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hiller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hiller works on Bamusto's body with a couple of short punches.

Bamusto can't break the clinch.

Bamusto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bamusto finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Hiller darts in and clinches Bamusto up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hiller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A right hook to the body lands for Hiller.
Hiller works on Bamusto's body with a couple of short punches.

Hiller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hiller connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Erik Hiller seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Bamusto drops his hands momentarily and Hiller takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bamusto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hiller sprawls well. Hiller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bamusto gets slowly back to his feet.

Hiller slaps away a takedown attempt from Bamusto, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hiller throws a shot to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A punch lands to the side of Bamusto 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hiller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bamusto sprawls well. Bamusto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hiller gets slowly back to his feet.

Hiller moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Bamusto takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hiller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bamusto attempts a counter takedown but Hiller avoids it well and moves away.

Erik Hiller is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hiller drops Bamusto with a big left hand! Bamusto is injured, injured bad! Hiller jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
