Rodriguez wants to get back to striking at distance but Martinez won't allow it.
Martinez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rodriguez up against the cage.

Rodriguez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martinez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rodriguez looks to land a combination but Martinez avoids it well.

Rodriguez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martinez was covering up waiting for the punch and Rodriguez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Martinez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rodriguez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
