The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams needs to keep his hands up - Volkov had a free shot at his head there.
Volkov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A jab from Williams does it's job there.
Volkov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Williams was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Williams takes one on the button.
Volkov throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily.
Williams looks for a takedown but Volkov sprawls well.
Williams scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Volkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab.

Volkov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Williams .

Volkov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Williams goes for a double leg but Volkov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Volkov continues to drive forward.

Volkov throws a good cross that connects.
That kick from Volkov tenderised Williams 's leg. Williams is trying to keep his angry face on.

Volkov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Volkov's head.
Volkov is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Williams is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Volkov sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Stanly Williams will probably get the nod.

Williams stuns Volkov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Williams scores with a decent looking hook.
Williams moves in looking to clinch but Volkov pushes him off.
Volkov appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Williams walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Volkov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Williams is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Volkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Volkov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Volkov in his guard.

Stanly Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Williams tries to lock up and control but Volkov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Volkov is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Volkov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Williams looks a forlorn figure.
Volkov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Volkov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Williams manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Volkov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stanly Williams really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Voodoo Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Ilya Mstislav Volkov was interviewed post fight and said 'Stepping up to fight a LHW was great challenge for me, i want to say thanks to my opponent, and good job!'.
