The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Konzaga closes the distance and clinches up with Hata, looking for a takedown. Konzaga pushes Hata against the cage but Hata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Konzaga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Konzaga stands and throws Hata's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Konzaga decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Hata takes the fight into the clinch.
Hata is trying to drag Konzaga to the mat but Konzaga just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Konzaga throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hata blocks it with crossed arms.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hata tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Konzaga smiles and moves away.

and Hata counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hata.

Hata tries to close the distance and clinch but Konzaga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hata is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Konzaga can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hata is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Konzaga with him. Konzaga is trying to defend but Hata has an arm under the chin now! Konzaga grimaces and is forced to tap out!
