The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosing takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bubba Gumption seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gumption stuns Rosing with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rosing closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Rosing shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gumption defends it nicely.
Gumption looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rosing shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rosing was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rosing tries to bench press Gumption off him but Gumption keeps the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rosing can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rosing throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gumption's waist but Gumption gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rosing off to one side.

Bubba Gumption has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Rosing.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rosing crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gumption - the referee stops the clock and Rosing gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gumption. Rosing manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Rosing takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rosing fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gumption avoids it really well and circles away.

Rosing with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gumption to score with a decent uppercut.

Gumption steps in with a hook that catches Rosing right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Gumption follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rosing looks absolutely devastated.
