The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Kruger misses.
Mite let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Astrius Mite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mite shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kruger sprawls well. Kruger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mite gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A clash of legs there as Mite blocks the low kick.
Kruger darts in looking for a takedown but Mite gets double underhooks and turns Kruger into the ropes.
