Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Bravie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Lazaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Lazaro!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lazaro swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've been informed that Lazaro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bravie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lazaro.
A big right from Lazaro misses.
A punch lands to the side of Bravie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lazaro takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lazaro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bravie sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lazaro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bravie.
Lazaro throws a hook to the side of Bravie's head but Bravie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been hearing reports that Bravie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bravie tries to work over Lazaro's front leg with a kick but Lazaro checks it.
Lazaro swings for the body but Bravie moves out of range.
Bravie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good leg kick by Bravie there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lazaro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Bravie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Bravie feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lazaro's calf.
Lazaro works Bravie's body with a nice hook.
Lazaro takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bravie throws a big shot that misses.
Lazaro blocks the body kick.
Bravie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lazaro.
Bravie throws a jab but it's blocked by Lazaro.
Lazaro missing with a left hand there. Bravie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A quick step to the side and Bravie tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bravie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bravie looks to land a left hand but Lazaro moved out of range nicely.

Bravie tries to clinch there but Lazaro circles away.
Lazaro throws a jab when Bravie was well out of range.
Bravie takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Bravie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bravie lands with a slapping head kick.
Bravie stuns Lazaro with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bravie lands the left hand.
Bravie throws a leg kick but Lazaro sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A shot to the liver by Lazaro. Beautiful body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bravie lands a big uppercut and Lazaro crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lazaro looks OK. Bravie waves Lazaro back to his feet!
Lazaro is rocked!
Bravie is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Lazaro flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lazaro is out cold! Bravie holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edward Bravie!
A very excited looking Edward Bravie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
