The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stryker misses with a hook. Barbosa ducked under it nicely.
Stryker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Barbosa keeps Stryker at a distance using the push kick.
Stryker misses with a left hand

so Barbosa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Barbosa looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Barbosa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbosa slips nicely into half guard.
Barbosa lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Barbosa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stryker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Barbosa moves nicely into side control.
Barbosa misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Barbosa sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Stryker is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Stryker is trying to get back to his feet.
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbosa throws an elbow but Stryker slips to the side and avoids it well.
Barbosa scores with a couple of short elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barbosa cracks Stryker with a big right hand but Stryker just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Stryker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barbosa on the ground.

Barbosa has hold of Stryker's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stryker tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barbosa cranks the arm and Stryker screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stryker, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
