Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Gower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Markov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Markov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Some Russian rap kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gower.

It looks like Sandy Gower has been cut.
Gower connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Gower smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gower seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Gower swings for the body but Markov moves out of range.
Markov tries to counter with a clinch but Gower shakes him off and moves away.
Markov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Fedor Markov has been cut.
Gower lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Markov misses with a hook. Gower ducked under it nicely.
Gower throws out a powerful jab.
Markov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gower cracks Markov with a good jab.
Gower blocks the body kick.
A big left from Gower misses.
Gower ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gower moves into range and connects with a jab.

Gower pushes Markov up against the ropes in a clinch.
Gower lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Markov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gower prevents Markov from breaking the clinch.

Gower lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Markov wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gower is working Markov over against the ropes.
Markov looks winded!
Gower pushes Markov back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gower can't find room to land a body shot as Markov controls the action.
Gower lands a body shot in the clinch.

Gower lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Markov is trying to break the clinch but Gower has him pressed against the ropes.
Gower dips a shoulder and cracks Markov with a mighty uppercut! Markov falls back against the ropes and Gower unloads with a barrage of strikes! Markov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gower screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sandy Gower!
Sandy Gower took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'That son of a bitch hits hard huh? Well I hit harder yeeeehaaaaww. '.
In defeat, Fedor Markov stepped up to the mic, saying 'He whispered, "I want your balls" during the fight..didn't want to touch him after that '.
