Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Yen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fertus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Yen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Fertus!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Yen.
Yen lands a jab.
Yen misses with a body shot
and Fertus counters with a nice uppercut.
Yen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fertus throws out a counter right but Yen avoids it with no problem.
Yen dives in for a single leg takedown but Fertus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Yen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fertus wants to stand back up but Yen manages to pass into side control.
Yen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fertus keeps working.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Yen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fertus, who protects the arm well.
Fertus tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yen with the ground and pound but Fertus regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Yen prevents Fertus from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Yen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yen is just content to waste time from the top position. Fertus takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Yen throws an elbow that misses. Fertus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yen's guard. Nice move by Fertus!

Yen wants to control the position but Fertus says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yen is trying to get back to full guard.
Fertus seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fertus prevents Yen from improving his position.
Yen trying to hold on to Fertus's head to control him but Fertus postures up.
Yen wants to sweep but Fertus has passed to side control!
Yen tries to improve position but can't.
Yen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fertus's best efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Yen kicks off Fertus and gets to his feet.
Fertus lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Yen backs up against the cage.
Fertus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yen's head.
Yen throws a body punch but Fertus moves out of range.
Yen fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Yen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fertus let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Yen is looking to clinch but Fertus is avoiding it.
Yen darts in looking for a takedown but Fertus gets double underhooks and turns Yen into the cage.

Fertus has Yen up against the cage in a clinch.
Fertus swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Fertus dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fertus thuds his right hand into Yen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fertus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fertus cracks Yen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Yen falls to his knees and Fertus doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Fertus!
Mike Fertus spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
