Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendon Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ionut Rivescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ionut Rivescu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivescu lunges at Davis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Davis's hand.

It looks like Brendon Davis has been cut.

Davis tries to keep at a distance but Rivescu has taken the fight into the clinch.

Davis tightens his grip and picks Rivescu up, before dumping him to the ground. Rivescu manages to land in guard.

Rivescu is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Davis presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Rivescu has had enough of the clinch but Davis keeps him there for the moment.
Davis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rivescu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Come on Rivescu - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Davis gets caught flat footed, as Rivescu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
