Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amin Amood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amin Amood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikey Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amin Amood!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Allen does no damage.
Allen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Amood scores with the left hand. Allen knows he should have avoided that one.
Allen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Amood as he avoids it easily.
Allen staying out of range there.

Allen drives through with a takedown into Amood's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Allen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Amood keeping moving, preventing Allen from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Allen throws an elbow that misses. Amood uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Allen's guard. Nice move by Amood!

Amood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Amood is continuing to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The adventures of Amood the control monster continue. Boring.
Allen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Amood manages to pass to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amood looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amood throws a hook but Allen avoids it easily.
Amood lands a body shot.
Amood throws an off balance right hand
and Allen counters with a one-two to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Allen.

Allen drives through with a takedown into Amood's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Allen trying to control the position from guard on top but Amood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Allen is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Amood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Amood stands up and beckons Allen to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Amin Amood will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Allen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Allen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Amood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Amood felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Allen with the ground and pound but Amood regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Amood keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Amood manages to get to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen throwing strikes from guard but Amood blocks nicely.

Allen stopping the sweep attempt from Amood.
Amood is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Allen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Allen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Amood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allen is one step ahead there.
Amood is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Allen throwing strikes but missing.
Allen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Allen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Allen throws a strike but Amood rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Allen wants to get back to his feet but Amood is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Amood advances position into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Allen's face as Amood controls the position.
Allen pushes Amood away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Amood gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Allen is looking to get back to his feet here but Amood is keeping cool and he's managed to take Allen's back.
Amood biding his time, looking for the opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Allen is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amin Amood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Allen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A left lands for Amood.
Amood lands with a shot to the body.
Allen throws a jab but it's blocked by Amood.
Amood lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Amood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A punch lands to the side of Allen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Allen avoids the body shot from Amood.

Amood dodges the punch combination from Allen.
Amood appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Amood forces Allen back against the cage and clinches.
Amood misses with a punch to the body.
Amood tries to work over Allen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Allen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Amood smiles and moves away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Allen or perhaps it was just good defense by Amood, which made it look bad.
Amood cracks a nice hook into Allen's ribs.
Amin Amood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen slips under a jab.
Allen feinted with a counter takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Amood throws the left hand but Allen avoids the punch easily.

Amood moves into range and clinches up with Allen.
Amood lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Allen or not.
Amood lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Amood lands a left hand that snaps the head of Allen backwards.
Amood lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Allen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Amood pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikey Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Allen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Amood fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Allen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Amood scores with a nice head shot.
Amood throws out a loose jab but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Allen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Amin Amood seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Amood cracks Allen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Allen has his takedown stuffed
letting Amood counter with a right hand.
Good standup being displayed there by Amood as he connects with a hook.
Amin Amood is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A jab from Amood does it's job there.

Amood has Allen up against the cage in a clinch.
Allen is looking to take this one to the mat.
Amood lands a nice shot to the body.
Amood presses Allen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

A body shot lands from Amood.
Amood scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short right from Amood on the inside.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Still in the clinch, Amood scores with a nice short uppercut.
Amood lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Amood digs a right hand underneath Allen's ribcage. Allen let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Amood lands a shoulder strike.
Amood slows down the pace here.

Mikey Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Amood lands a nice uppercut.
Amood works on Allen's body with a couple of short punches.
Amood lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Amin Amood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Amood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
