Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phoenix Templar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Plainview!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plainview moves out of range of the leg kick from Templar.
Decent striking displayed by Templar there.
Templar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Templar missing with a left hand there. Plainview was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Templar ducks under a wild hook from Plainview.
Templar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nice shot lands for Templar.
Plainview ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Templar moves away.

Templar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Plainview sprawls well initially but Templar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Plainview moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Templar is looking to work some ground and pound but Plainview has wrist control.
Templar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Plainview wants to hit a switch here but Templar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Plainview there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Templar connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Plainview is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Plainview is squirming around, avoiding Templar's attempts to control the action.
Plainview tries to lock up and control but Templar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Templar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Templar looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big strike lands for Templar! That's really hurt Plainview and he's turned his back - Templar keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Templar jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
