Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Macias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derk Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Macias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derk Parker!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macias feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, Macias changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Parker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Macias off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Parker throws a head kick but Macias moves out of range.
Parker closes the distance looking to clinch
and Macias cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Parker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Even with his hooks in, Parker manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Derk Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Macias shoots in looking for a takedown. Parker tries to sprawl out of it but Macias keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Parker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Macias. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dave Macias.
Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
