The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinx tries to clinch up.

Jinx goes for a double leg but Pelaez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pelaez continues to drive forward.

Jinx takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jinx takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Jinx takes the fight into the clinch.

Jinx breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pelaez feints and then cracks Jinx's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jinx down.
Jinx should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jinx throws a jab but it's blocked by Pelaez.

Jinx sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Pelaez lands a head kick. Jinx smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Billy Jinx has been cut.

Oooooh!!! Pelaez has knocked Jinx down with a huge combo! Pelaez steps away and waves a wobbly Jinx back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

pj Pelaez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pelaez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jinx stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pelaez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Whack! Pelaez lands a heavy head kick that drops Jinx. The ref tackles Pelaez to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Jinx was done.
