The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vieira tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pinto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vieira somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vieira tries to land knees in the clinch but Pinto avoids the damage to the body.

Vieira will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pinto up against the cage.

Pinto gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pinto should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vieira has tightened it up now! Pinto should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
