Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Anus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jolien Gratje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jolien Gratje struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anus cracks Gratje with an open hand slap.
Gratje looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Anus lands with a nice body punch.
We've been told by Anus's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Anus lands a head shot.
Gratje on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Anus throws a head kick but Gratje moves out of range.
And Gratje tries to counter it with a takedown but Anus pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Anus lands a big head kick that sends Gratje tumbling to the mat! Anus takes a step backwards and waves Gratje back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gratje is rocked!

It looks like Jolien Gratje has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Anus.
Gratje is still on wobbly legs! Can Anus finish him?
Anus throws a pinpoint strike between Gratje's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Gratje crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Anus scores a great knockout victory!

After the fight, Mike Anus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
