Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Giovanni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achtung Scheisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giovanni's entrance music is Riot-- Three Days Grace. A fine choice. Achtung Scheisse has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giovanni bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Scheisse's head backwards.
The fighters circle momentarily. Giovanni darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Giovanni misses with a jab, cross combination.
Scheisse slips a jab and a cross from Giovanni.

Scheisse manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Giovanni on his heels. He'll look to pass Giovanni's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scheisse drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scheisse jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Giovanni throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Scheisse trying to control but Giovanni is working from the bottom.
Giovanni wants to control the position but Scheisse says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Scheisse seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Giovanni does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Scheisse is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
